Caprese salad is a classic Italian dish that's simple, fresh and perfect for summertime!

Ingredients:
4 large tomatoes (1lb, 450g), sliced
1/4 cup of fresh basil, leaves separated
1 ball of fresh mozzarella cheese (120g), sliced
1 large avocado (1 cup, 180g), sliced
2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Assemble, measure, and prepare the ingredients.
In a large platter, layer the ingredients: tomato slice, basil leaf, mozzarella slice, avocado slice, tomato slice, basil leaf, mozzarella slice, avocado slice and so on….
Next in a small bowl, mix the olive oil and balsamic vinegar, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Drizzle the dressing over the salad.
Serve chilled
